Best water can be found from around November to August although some years the water stays around for the entire year. Water levels can be found on the Environment Canada Site. Look for the “Chilliwack River above Slesse Creek” entry and anything above 1.0 is worth your time although best levels are above 1.4. If the Slesse Creek gauge is down then look at the “Chilliwack at Vedder Crossing” gauge and take off about 1.2 to get the level.

The closest place for Whitewater gear is Western Canoeing & Kayaking located in Abbotsford just off the highway. If you’re looking for some locals to paddle with that is also the place to call. Many of the staff paddle whitewater and love to take people new to the area around.
